“You are my daddy, my only daddy. You make me happy, when skies are grey. You’ll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don’t take my daddy away..”
-Prince and Paris Jackson when they were little.
There was peaceful protest in Tottenham, North London by family and friends of Mark Duggan. Mark Duggan was killed on Thursday and an investigation is well under way. The family wanted answers from the police as what was happening and why was their son killed. The police didn’t know approach the family to inform them or give any answers. Therefore, the family decided to leave after waiting 5 hours for authorities to comment.
After they had left as I understand, a group of youths and other members have began vandalizing police cars at around 8.20pm, Saturday. They set 2 police cars on fires, then began smashing and looting stores. Fires were set to a buses and some stores on the high street of Tottenham. This then moved to other areas of North London with fires and more lootings.
Soon enough escalating to other areas of london and currently moving out of London. People are terrified. The police are doing their level best but there’s too many affected areas and is therefore taking time to reach these areas.
These criminals have been ‘gathering’ more criminals to join mainly through the closed network of Blackberry Messenger and which is why there seems to be no end currently. They are travelling in groups of 50-200 people with bricks and numerous items to damage property.
People in many communities have been made homeless and jobless. Businesses and homes have been destroyed. Transport has been affected in this as well. People who are trying to ‘investigate’ what is going on are getting assault. An example, a man was punched in the face for trying to see what was going on in Croydon, London. There is mass panic and a lot of fear spread in the people of the UK and especially speaking of London residences. T
here is no indication when this going to end and public services are trying their level best to control this unrest. There is no excuses for this; other reasons people have been speculating is that it might be because of ‘cut backs’ on government budgets and the hostile relation between police and youths. I will write a report with live blog reports and other sources on facebook.
My profile is there to update people what is happening and please feel free to go through it. I hope that explained some things. I will be putting up another note on my profile where I will list relevant sources to get more information. Thank and keep safe!
Many regards,
